Iron bowl Day...War Eagle!

So we are back from all of our family road trips. That was whirl wind of family time. But none the less, we had a great time as always with both of our families. We saw once again that we are truly blessed to have such loving and supporting families. We got to see the Birmingham crew and the Prattville crew, and let me just tell you that baby James is one BIG baby...he is only 5 months old and already has his first tooth, and his feet are rather large too!! I think he is going to be bigger than his daddy. Then we drove to Columbus, where we got to see Brandon's Parents, brother, cousins and aunts and uncles. The only bad part about the trip was we had to eat again, and that was not fun!!!

Friday we were not out at 4am like some crazy people. I just don't think there is any sale worth getting up that early for. We did go to the Sample Shop a local store in town, where I used the rest of my wedding credit to get stockings and stocking holders. They are so pretty, and I can't wait to put them up! I love Christmas decorating, and I am so excited about decorating our home for the first time, and knowing we will get to enjoy it the whole month of December unlike college days. I am excited to decorate some this afternoon! I will post pictures of the inside and out when I am finished!!!

Well it is that time of year again...the IRON BOWL. So of course Brandon has the bourbon and coke flowing! But I will say, I am most excited about curling up on my couch to watch it. I hope it is not as ugly as it possibly could be! I will be cheering on the tigers no matter what!

Well, I know most of you will be watching the game today to, so cheer hard and hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised by the turn out!!!

WAR EAGLE!!!!

The Day before Thanksgiving

Well it is the day before Thanksgiving, and I have a 5 day weekend, greatly needed! Although I don't have to go into work today, I have a lovely list of work to do around the house. I have to clean, dust, swiffer, bathe the dog, clean the bathrooms, and cook all my goodies for Montgomery and Columbus. I think I am going to need a vacation from my vacation!!

Being newly married, these holidays can get tricky and crazy. We are going to be spending a great deal of the next 3 days on the road. You have to be fair to both sets of parents, because you don't want anyone to get upset. Unfortunately Brandon has to work a full day today so we wont get out of here till late this afternoon. Then it is on to good 'ole Montgomery. Scott, Tammy and the girls will come down tomorrow for lunch then Lee, Stacy, the girls and James will come after they eat with her family. We will get to visit for a short while, then it is off to C-town for Thanksgiving Dinner (like I am going to want to eat again)! To be fair we are going to come back to Birmingham Friday afternoon, plus I want to start decorating for Christmas!!! I am so excited to finally have a Home to decorate, and we will be the WHOLE month to enjoy it, unlike we were during the college days.

Well you saw my list of "Chores" I have to do today, so I better get started! At least I have Barkley here to keep me company!!!

I hope you all have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving, and please be careful if you are traveling!

So I decided to start Blogging!

So I decided to start blogging! I feel like I have lost touch with so many people, so I am hoping that I can catch back up with them and they can catch back up with me. I will give a quick blurb of what we are doing.

Brandon and I got married on June 21, 2008 in Montgomery. We had a wonderful wedding day and a fabulous honeymoon in St. Lucia. We now live in Birmingham Alabama. I teach pre-school (3 and 4 year olds) in Vestavia. I love my job, very different from my last job (self contained Special Education) however, I am still working with special ed children, I just get to work with typical children as well. Brandon work for Goodwyn, Mills and Caywood, where he is a Community Planner. He stays very busy, but really seems to like his job. I still have Barkley, and he is sweeter than ever, and likes Brandon just alittle bit more than he used to! We are renting a house in Vestavia and are hoping and looking to buy a house in the same area this spring.

As many of you know I did not have much of a relationship with my brother Scott. However, since we have lived in B'ham, we have gotten alot closer. He pops in for visits, calls, invites us over or out to eat. So I am really excited about that, it was along time coming!

Brandon and I are getting ready to travel for Thanksgiving. Montgomery tomorrow night and lunch on Thursday, then to Columbus for dinner and to spend the night, then back to Birmingham to watch football and decorate for Christmas.

Well that is all for now, I am going to have to get use to this!!!
